主講人簡介：

何旭銘教授在穩健統計方法，分位數回歸和統計應用等領域開展了在國際上具有相當影響的獨創性研究。擔任多家世界著名統計期刊的主編或副主編。2005年，鑒于何旭銘教授在穩健性和半參數統計方法研究領域的杰出貢獻及其深遠影響，他當選為美國統計學會(ASA)院士（Fellow）。

主講內容：

Many have considered AI as a transformative force in the digital age. While we do hear about epic failures of AI, we are constantly amazed by what AI can do for us. In this presentation, I will discuss why and how statistics and AI have become far more complementary than competitive in their race toward real intelligence. We need to argue for better use of human intelligence as we embrace AI, and adherence and development of statistical principles are critical to ensure integration of machine and human intelligence. The talk is intended for faculty and students who are interested in understanding the importance of statistics and data science in the digital world.
